trust Jesus
find salvation
We are saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. You can go from spiritual death to spiritual life by trusting Jesus for salvation.

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only son, so that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

What is Salvation?
-
Salvation was birthed in the eternal plan of God (Revelation 13:8, 17:8, Ephesians 1:3-10).
-
Salvation is accomplished as the Spirit prompts humans to confess and repent of their sin (John 16:8-11, Titus 3:4-7, 2 Thessalonians 2:13).
-
God calls humans to place their faith for salvation in the finished work of Jesus Christ, rejecting every other hope (Ephesians 1:4-10, 1 Peter 1:18-21, Romans 10:9-10)

By grace alone, through grace alone
Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8)
-
Faith - Hebrews 11:1-6
-
Grace - Titus 3:5-6

In Christ alone
-
In Christ, we receive deliverance by God from God and His wrath (Romans 5:8-10, Romans 3:26)
-
This is made possible through Jesus Christ alone (John 3:18, Acts 4:12).
-
Jesus is the substitute sacrifice (1 Peter 3:18)
-
Jesus’ death and resurrection were a propitiation (appeasing God’s wrath, cleansing us from sin, and granting us mercy from God) for His people (Romans 3:25, 1 John 2:2).

What was accomplished?
God’s people are redeemed (purchased, rescued, reclaimed)
-
Before salvation, we are enslaved to sin (John 8:34)
-
Jesus triumphed over Satan and death (Colossians 2:15)
-
We were redeemed by Jesus’ death and resurrection to belong to God, righteousness, and life (Deuteronomy 7:8, Galatians 3:13, Ephesians 2:13
God’s people are reconciled (restore relationship, settle a dispute, made acceptable to God)
-
God’s people are reconciled to Him and each other. (Romans 5:8-10, Ephesians 2:16)
-
In union with Jesus, they share in His triumph over the world, sin, death, and Satan/demons (Psalms 110:1, 1 Corinthians 15:20-28)

The process of Salvation
-
Justification (A one-time event that happens immediately when one confesses and believes in the person and work of Jesus Christ ) (Romans 3:21- 5:21)
-
Sanctification (Being set apart from the world for God’s purposes. The process of growing in Christ-likeness (1 Corinthians 6:11, Romans 6:19, Philippians 2:12-13, Romans 8:29, 1 Thessalonians 5:23- 24)
-
Glorification (An event when Jesus returns and we are resurrected, shedding our mortal body and gaining an immortal/spiritual body) (Romans 8:17, 1 Corinthians 15)

New Heart, New Spirit
Born again people…
-
are given a new heart by which God enables them to respond to His loving call. (Ezekiel 36:26- 27)
-
are born of the Spirit (John 3:5-8, Titus 3:5)
-
are sealed and assured of the promises in Christ (Ephesians 1:13-14)
-
are given the Spirit to empower them to live for Christ. (John 14:15, 21, 25-26; Acts 1:8)
